HEAD OF MARKETING

We are recruiting for a new and exciting position at CASA Festival as our Head of Marketing. 

CASA Festival was founded in 2007 to give a platform to Latin American theatre in the UK. Over the course of twelve years we have grown from humble beginnings  into a  renowned international multidisciplinary arts festival.  2021 is a particularly exciting year. We have an amazing 4 weeks cross-arts festival celebrating the ever evolving Latin American arts scene through an exhibition space, cinemas and CASA creates programme from the 1st  to 28th of September. 

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK's most exciting arts festivals and the perfect opportunity for the right candidate to utilise and develop their skills and hone new ones within a friendly, supportive, fun, feminist, international and busy atmosphere.

Can you make online and print content look beautiful, do you understand the inner workings of social media marketing, can you write beautifully in English (and maybe in Spanish or Portuguese), do you have exciting new ideas about branding and marketing, can you think of great ways to fill a theatre full of an amazing audience? Do you love video and visual arts?

Summary:

Reporting to the directors of CASA

Start Date: 8th of July

Contract: Fixed term from July (3 days a week) to end of September. 

Probationary Period: 2 weeks. 

Fee: £45000 pro rata 

Key roles and responsibilities include but our not limited to; 

Strategy

Develop CASA 2021 marketing strategy with the Artistic Director. 

Come up with new and exciting marketing ideas. 

Marketing 

Liaise with external PR/ working with them to create press releases and managing PR relationships.

Working with a CASA graphic designer. 

Manage all social media and update websites.

Copy writing for newsletter/  brochure / websites / social media platforms.

Reaching out to current and new partners for marketing opportunities/ managing. 

Liaising with our artists to create coherent marketing efforts. 

Design 

Managing design strategy for the festival and implementing it: posts/ sourcing images/ GIFS. 

Leading designing brochure. 

Leading designing masks/ welcome packs/ gift bags.

Oversee all printing of marketing material.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in marketing roles.
  • Excellent written English skills.
  • Highly computer literate and able to learn new software packages quickly.
  • Highly organised, focused and reliable.
  • The ability to remain calm in a high-pressure working environment.
  • Confident and clear communicator.
  • A passion for the arts.
  • A knowledge of and a passion for Latin America and its cultures.
  • Must be a self-employed freelancer / happy to enrol as self-employed.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working for an arts festival or other arts organisation.
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills
