Victor Esses is Jewish-Lebanese, Brazilian, and gay. ‘Where to Belong’ is the tender, moving autobiographical story of Victor’s journeys – an exploration of how to find your place in a rich and complex world of identities.
Victor Esses an award nominated Jewish-Lebanese Latinx queer theatre maker and an Associate Artist to CASA Festival. He is interested in autobiography and storytelling to investigate belonging, intimacy and overcoming. Performance and creator credits include ‘Unfamiliar to Us’ (4-channel video installation commissioned by the Royal Docks, selected by Join the Docks), ‘Unfamiliar’ (opened CASA Festival at Arcola Theatre), and was also nominated for Performing Artist of the Year and Shortlisted for the Zealous Stories: Performance Prize 2020.
